- Artist statement -
Christine has worked with a variety of processes including knitting, dyeing,
weaving and embroidery in a wide range of materials but latterly, since moving
full time to North Norfolk, she has turned to drawing and painting.
An affinity with texture and pattern always informs the work whatever the
material used. The space and distance of the local beaches offer an ongoing
challenge - how to illustrate the emptiness of the expansive shore in material
form. What does the horizon say? The subject is infinite.
