Eleanor's interests essentially lie in using light, line and shadow to indicate a process, movement or force. She is intrigued by elemental forces in nature and the physical processes involved in everyday happenings as well as rare phenomena. She seeks to investigate this through her work which develops through an intuitive process. Her current interests include the flow of energy, momentum and balance in sound as well as visual information. Not only is the feel of the sound and the shape of the note fascinating but the actual data formed through sound itself is very appealing. The drawn line is also very important in her work with mark-making and alternative ways of recording movement is a current concern.
A finished piece of work will not be representational but may suggest a number of influences each one as relevant as the next. The viewer and their interpretation is the final part in the piece.
