WATER INTO WINE AND VICE VERSA

The absent-minded artist's life is not without its hazards and drinking one's paint water is certainly one of them. It is most likely to happen when deeply absorbed in one's task but have a drink on hand for fortification, perhaps a mug of coffee or cocoa or in this artist's case, possibly a glass of wine.

History has, until now, tended to be written by historians. This, Graham Clarke claims, has lead to a rather biased view of events. In an effort, therefore, to get closer to the truth Graham now presents his own History of England.

It explains, for instance, why Stonehenge was never completed and the roof not put on; what terrified the Romans so much about the Haggis and what Sir Christopher Wren's exact motives were for starting the Great Fire of London.
